Plenty has been perfecting the art of cold pressed oil manufacturing since 1986. Our specialty oils are sought after for their nutritious flavours and outstanding quality; something we value and have taken time and care to develop. The first major Australian cold pressed oil business commenced on our site under former owner Graham Helmhold in 1986.
Plenty Cold Pressed Olive Oil preserves the fruity profile with a very “fruit-forward” bouquet. Cold pressed to retain every ounce of nutritional value, Plenty Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil is full to the cap with beneficial antioxidants.
Cold-pressed oils offer several nutritional advantages due to their unique extraction process. Preservation of Nutrients: Cold pressing avoids the use of heat, which can degrade vitamins, enzymes, and antioxidants present in fruits, vegetables, and seeds. As a result, cold-pressed oils retain more of these beneficial compounds.
1. Rich in Enzymes: Enzymes play a crucial role in digestion and overall health. Cold-pressed juices contain higher enzyme levels compared to juices produced through traditional methods.2. Minimal Oxidation: The absence of heat during cold pressing minimizes oxidation. Oxidation can lead to nutrient loss and affect the flavour of the juice or oil.3. Better Flavour and Freshness: Cold-pressed juices often taste fresher and more vibrant because they haven’t been exposed to high temperatures. Similarly, cold-pressed oils maintain their natural flavours.4. Healthier Fats: Cold-pressed oils, such as olive oil, retain their healthy fats (like monounsaturated fats) without chemical alterations caused by heat.5. Reduced Pesticides: Cold-pressed organic juices use pesticide-free produce, which is better for your health and the environment. Elsi Australia is proud to be associated with Plenty Foods and to promote and distribute it's products world wide.
